Good Evening
Thank you to everyone who attended our Halloween meet this weekend, and it was great to see so many of you supporting the DA at our coffee morning today.
A massive thank you to those who helped out keeping everyone entertained throughout the weekend.
Whilst Halloween was Notts DAs last camping meet in 2024, we have two upcoming winter socials; We’ll Meet Again on 17th November and our Christmas Family Social on 7th December (details can be found on our website)
Our site list for 2025 has been recently published. Now that some dates/prices have been finalised, we will post the updated site list shortly. If you are interested in stewarding a meet in 2025, please contact Tracie Butler for more details.
Thank you to all for your continued support, and for those who are not able to make any of our winter socials, the committee and I look forward to seeing you in the field in 2025.
Thank you
Laura
Notts DA Chairman
The Committee offer our deepest condolences to the family of our Vice President, Norman Hemsley, who sadly passed away on 03 October 2024.
Norman was a dedicated memeber of Notts DA, and many of our memebers will have fond memories of Norman over the years who went above and beyond to make camping memories for all.
Our thoughts are with the Hemsley family during this sad time.
Rest In Peace Norman X

Following our committee meeting yesterday, I am pleased to introduce our new committee members of Notts DA:
Shaun Godfrey
Chelsey James-Wilson- Social Media & Webmaster.
Andrew Henson
We still have one position on the committee should you be interested in joining.
We have many plans for meets next year, hopefully including new sites too, however we do need your help to make these meets be a success. This can include stewarding, helping to set up and take down equipment etc.
If you would like any further information in stewarding please do not hesitate to contact us.
Chairman
I would like to thank Richard Anthony for all of his hard work and advice over his time on committee. He will be greatly missed. Thank you
We now have a dedicated officer for bookings. The email address is bookings.nottsda@outlook.com
Raffle prize donations are always gratefully received at our bigger meets, if you do have any raffle donations please see a member of the committee. Thank you for your support.
Something we cannot forget from the Inflatable Weekend at Thorsby Park, is our New Notts DA thank you award following your feedback at the AGM.
Receiving a gift as a keepsake and the New Ian Webster trophy that will be passed to those who receive it each year.
We would like to thank Sara Hemsley and family for donating this in memory of Ian Webster who was a very long standing member of Notts DA and someone who dedicated his life to it including being the treasurer for the DA and much much more. He thought of it right to the very end.
We would also like to thank Ian’s wife Joan Webster and his daughter Laura Hing for attending the meet to present the award and Sara for telling us about Ian’s roles in the DA and what it meant to him, it was a very special moment.
This year, it went to Trevor and Marion Melton and we felt it was very much deserved and we thank them for their hard work and dedication over the years.
As this was our 1st, the committee made the decision as to who it would go to but moving forwards, this will be something that you, the members, can nominate for for next year. They don’t have to be active in the DA currently but must be Notts DA members. It can be anyone from newer members to long standing as long as they have provided service to the DA.
So get your thinking caps on and get in touch if you would like to make a nomination.
Thank you
